IHSS Provider Enrollment
Individuals under the age of 18 are not eligible to apply for the Registry.
The steps below are for providers who
- Intend to apply for the registry, and
- Do NOT have a recipient in mind.
If you have a recipient you are working for,
- STOP and contact our IHSS Payroll Department to discuss enrollment steps.
How to Become A Provider
If you are a new provider or a provider that has not been paid by IHSS in over a year, you will need to complete the Provider Enrollment Process.
Providers will have 90 days from registration to complete enrollment. If you already have a BOUNDS profile, please log in and update your contact details. You can then call the Registry at 707-476-2100 and staff can issue a new application at that time.
Please call our office at 707-476-2100 to schedule an appointment for one-on-one assistance. You must have a valid account in the BOUNDS Provider Portal prior to scheduling the appointment.
Current Provider Enrollment Process:
- Complete the online registration process in BOUNDS (Email address needed. There can be one email per provider. If your email is in use for a recipient, you will need to use a different email to register).
- You will receive an email confirmation with BOUNDS portal login, username and temporary password. The email will come from noreply@jumpfaster.com. Check your spam folder if you cannot find the email. If you do not receive the portal invitation email within 24 hours of registering, please call us. If your email provider is att.net, yahoo.com or sbcglobal.net, please note that these email providers are known to block the email coming from BOUNDS.
- Use your login information to log in to the BOUNDS portal and watch the IHSS videos in the portal. Videos must be watched in their entirety to mark them complete at the end.
- Complete the "Provider Application with Signature" in the BOUNDS portal. You do not need to print the application. Answer the questions using the links on the left (see screen shot below). You must click "Save" before navigating to the next link. After answering all questions, click "Save" at the top of the page and then click "Send." The system will ask you to log in again, this is considered your digital signature.
- Schedule an in-person orientation using the BOUNDS portal by clicking “Training Events.” You must be registered and bring the following to the in-person orientation:
- Unexpired, U.S. government-issued photo ID (state ID card, driver’s license, U.S. passport).
- Social Security Card (name on ID and Social Security card must match).
Please note: Photos and copies are not accepted. If you do not have these items at the appointment, you will be asked to reschedule.
- In addition to the online registration, providers will need to complete a mandatory fingerprint background check. (This process is also referred to as DOJ, Live Scan and fingerprinting). To schedule this appointment, please call 707-476-2100.
- Complete and submit your Registry Application packet to IHSS via the BOUNDS Provider Portal, US Postal Mail, in-person at your orientation or to DHHS Adult Service (IHSS Main Office), 808 E Street, Eureka, CA 95501. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.

Begin Provider Enrollment (Internet Explorer is not compatible with BOUNDS. Please use Google Chrome, Firefox or other web browsers to begin enrollment).
