Treatment Program

The Adolescent Treatment Program (ATP) is an outpatient program designed to provide care to clients in their community, at home or in the office. ATP is currently staffed by a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor-II (CDAC-II), a CDAC-I and a Certified Substance Use Counselor Trainee.

Services Available

Substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services are designed to empower participants to develop the self-awareness and personal motivation needed to make positive and permanent changes in their lives. Program services are provided by substance abuse counselors and may include:

  • American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Assessment
  • Consultation and referrals
  • Plan development
  • Individual and group counseling
  • Treatment and recovery services
  • Family counseling and support systems
  • Skill development
  • Case management
  • Service coordination
  • Field services.

Eligibility

ATP utilizes evidence-based practices from a variety of approaches designed to best meet the needs of youth experiencing SUD, including mild, moderate and/or severe SUD. ATP is available to provide outpatient services to youth ages 12 to 18. Call the 24-hour Substance Use Disorder Access Line to complete a brief screening and connect with a SUD treatment provider who offers the level of care that fits your needs. DHHS staff will connect with you during the call to schedule an assessment should you be referred to DHHS’s ATP.

Youth may call the 24-hour Substance Use Disorder Access Line to request screening services, either directly, or along with a caregiver or other service provider . 

Substance Use Disorder Services of the Wellness & Recovery Program  

Humboldt County contracts with Partnership HealthPlan of California as part of the Wellness & Recovery Program. The Wellness & Recovery Program offers substance use disorder (SUD) services, as regulated by the California Department of Health Care Services’ Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (ODS) to eligible individuals. 

The Wellness & Recovery Program encompasses seven counties: Humboldt, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou and Solano.

The Adolescent Treatment Program is licensed under the program name "Humboldt County Programs for Recovery" by the California Department of Health Care Services Licensing and Certification Division. Our certification number is 120011DN.

The California Department of Health Care Services maintains a list of facilities and programs where their licensure or certification has been placed in probationary status, been subject to a temporary suspension order, been revoked, or the operator has been given a notice of operation in violation of law. Individuals may go to SUS-REV-NOV to confirm the status of a facility’s license or program’s certification.
