Blue Lake Library was opened as a County Free Library on July 31,1915. An inaugural ceremony was held on August 2, with speeches, dancing and refreshments. The new library was housed in a room of the Civic Center building, and offered 241 books, 9 magazines and 3 newspapers. Miss Florence Power was in charge.
Through the work of the Friends, the library is able to add more books and materials to its collections and offer programs to enhance library services. You can participate in volunteer activities or simply support the library by joining.
