The Humboldt County Administrative Office’s Economic Development Division is updating the county’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and wants to hear from you.
All interested community members are invited to share input regarding Humboldt’s economy by taking the 2025 Humboldt CEDS Community Survey. The Economic Development Division has extended the survey deadline to Sunday, March 23 to give more community members and local businesses the chance to share their input.
A CEDS is a strategic plan that helps guide local economic development efforts and keeps the county eligible for certain federal grants. The updated plan will serve as a roadmap for building a strong, diverse, and resilient economy in Humboldt County.
The economy affects everyone who lives and works in Humboldt, so community input is essential to ensure the plan reflects local needs. By taking the survey, you can share your thoughts on workforce development, infrastructure, housing, industry trends and other factors that impact economic growth.
How to Participate
The survey will be available online at gohumco.com/CEDS until Sunday, March 23 at midnight. Paper copies can be completed in person, during regular business hours, at the Humboldt County Administrative Office, located in the Humboldt County Courthouse at 825 Fifth St., Suite 112 in Eureka.
Survey results will help shape the county’s five-year economic development plan. The final CEDS report is expected to be submitted to the U.S. Economic Development Administration and shared with the public in May.
