Southern Humboldt Community Healthcare District Loan Proposal
Redwood Region Economic Development Commission (RREDC) is seeking up to 2,000,000 of Headwaters Fund support for a loan to the Southern Humboldt Community Healthcare District (SHCHD) for working capital as they await repayment of qualified Medicaid expenditures through the Medicaid "Intergovernmental Transfer" program. Funding will be drawn from Revolving Loan Funds and Community Investment Funds with full remittance of interest to the county on funds not matched by RREDC.
Any loan proposal exceeding $800,000 must receive Board of Supervisors approval.
- Required Action
- Recommend loan approval of up to $2,000,000 of Headwaters Funding to SHCHD through RREDC, with all interest on unmatched Headwaters Funding being fully remitted to the Headwaters Fund.
